Finances. I am unemployed and receiving unemployment for the last year. My husband has Testicular cancer stage 3 and now unemployed. Not able to get disability and very little unemployment. Own nothing, no savings or investments of any kind anymore. Medi-Cal wants us to pay 1125.00 per month for share of cost since 11/07/2009. We just don't have the money to do anything anymore. I am behind on all my bills and now don't know where the rent is coming from next. We borrowed over $8000.00 from friends and family, no one left to ask for help. The government literally wants us in the street before we qualify for any assistance. What can we do? |

My son has been a kidney patient for 9 years. Most recently, kidney doctor missed a problem w/ his intestines, and he had emergency surgery. He been in hospital since Oct. and the doctors are consistently putting wrong doses of medicine in chart, and when I ask for consults with doctors, I am ignored. |

The prison doctor misdiagnosed him and gave him cortisone shots which made his pain worse. He has finally been diagnosed correctly by a different doctor and needs surgery. Current nursing home has put us short notice to move our mother to a "memory unit facility". So far we are only getting on wait lists.
They have not officially diagnosed Altzheimers, and just seem to have no good reason for wanting to move her other than they are not now owned by a religious group, but a corporation. Our mother may only have weeks left and we do not want to put her through this, she likes where she is. We are also not sure that some of her confusion is not a result of medication, poor diet, and hearing loss. |
